Adewole disclosed this at a special church service and reception organised in his honour by Osun State government.
He said the Federal Government would offer qualitative and affordable health care services to Nigerians as promised during the presidential campaign of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Adewole, who promised to concentrate on Primary Health Care, assured Nigerians of cooperation with other tiers of government to ensure that Secondary Health Care system functions effectively.
He added that efforts were underway to take health care to the door step of over 70 per cent of Nigerians, stressing that the slogan of the present Federal Government is that “every live and death must count.”
Under his watch, Adewole assured that the tertiary care system would be revitalised with a view to improving people’s standard of living.
In their separate remarks, senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Babajide Omoworare, and a member representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Ajibola Famurewa, said Adewole has what it takes to succeed as health minister.
In his sermon, the state Vice Chairman of the Christian Association Of Nigeria, CAN, Osun State chapter, Reverend Dr. Testimony Onifade, urged the minister to work towards reduction of premature death arising from various diseases.
